NYC runs on coffee. Oh wait, is that the Dunkin’ Donuts slogan? Either way, it’s true, and finding your go-to coffee spot takes patience – you have to try many options within a 2 block radius of your home / work until everything aligns. But then your friends open a really cool spot and you suddenly find yourself going a little out of the way to support said friends and to enjoy said really cool spot.
Which is exactly what happened to me when Oliver Coffee opened. The tiny Chinatown outpost serves up coffee through a to-go window, and slings international publications and international candy inside. A precise and thoughtful concept, not unlike our new friend Sissy’s style. In town from LA in a shoulder bearing v-neck top revealing just enough to be sun kissed kitting outside.
Another New York moment made possible by a requisite trip for morning coffee.
Sissy Sainte-Marie Chacon is an LA based stylist who, in addition to giving me total name envy, also has style, individuality, and hair galore. You’ve probably seen her work in a few of your favorite magazines, and should probably follow her modern styling + graphic accessorizing abilities on Instagram.
