Watch Out!

There are so many classic watches that I love…

…like the Première and the Hermès Médor. But, sometimes its fun to wear a different kind of classic, like the Swatch!

Are you a watch wearer or do you just rely on your cell phone to tell time?

  • i love this all-red set up! :)

  • Hi!
I wear a watch all the time! I’m not used to using my phone for that! Watches are more convenient!
I have a wonderful bow watch from Louis Pion, it looks like a bracelet! I also love Calvin Klein wacthes! I had one once, but it fell and was broken! Reparing it was as expensive as buyinng a new one…So sad!

:) http://www.smoothiewatch.com

  • I love wearing my ceramic grey DKNY watch, in fact I’ve worn it every day for 3 years! I treat it more as a piece of jewellery than purely functional, I don’t think there’s anything chicer than a beautiful classic watch.

  • I have such tiny wrists and I hate watches on me!! but I really want one

  • I do too, but found a Citizen ecodrive that is small, classic, just lovely.

  • I recently found a jewelry box with old watches of mine from high school and several of my mother’s from years ago- basically 70’s 80’s and 90’s Citizen, Skagen, Swatch, etc. – and have put them in my rotation. I’ve gotten so many compliments, which just proves that if the design is good, it will hold up over time. I’ve also been wearing a Baby G on more casual occasions and really like the size and bold colors. Nixon also has some fun designs – the men’s seem to be a little more interesting than the women’s.

  • I wear watches and I like having them so I can quickly glance at the time and not having to go through my bag to find my phone. Unfortunately my favorite watch broke the other day and now I’m in search of a new one

  • I love my NIXON watch. I have The time teller model in Red. I get so many compliments on it!

  • I have always loved watches and cycled among about 5 of them. Then for a milestone (!) birthday my husband gave me a Cartier tank. I wear it 90% of the time. I feel invincible when I wear it. :-) Well, at least on time in a classic way.

  • Most definitely rely on my cell for time. A watch has become a fashion accessory that I admire on other people. Love the picture here with all the red watches.

I really loved oversized watches I hate anything that looks too dainty.

I used to be an avid watch wearer and then I lost my favourite (after breaking a few) and am now on the hunt again.. Currently loving this watch: http://www.thehorse.com.au/collections/watches it’s on my list for my birthday next month! Classic, yet big, to make a statement. And it’s not even expensive by watch standards!

  • Like Shan, I received a cartier tank as an anniversary gift from my husband 10 years ago and have worn it everyday since! It makes me feel very Jackie O….it makes the outfit.

  • Ugh — wish I didn’t rely on my cell phone for time, but I do! And that’s even when I wear a watch, too! I love a great watch, especially if it is a unique statement piece!

  • My beloved Tank Solo, always wearing it

  • For me a watch on my wrist is crucial. I have a gold Casio from their men’s collection and get complimented all the time for it.

  • Love the pic! I wish I would change more my watches, but I always wear the same one… maybe because I just love it so much and it goes with everything. I prefer to use something classic and basic that will go with everything, clothes and other accessories, so I don’t have to think much of changing it… maybe I should try something new!

The first and the last are from swatch, but what about the one in the middle with a chain strap?

  • I wear a watch every day as I don’t always carry my phone with me… I suppose that shows my age. :)
I have 3 in rotation that I love- my favorite is my classic casual Timex – I can change out the bands. I like to incorporate them into my wardrobe.

I am currently saving up for another watch. In the interim, I might have fun and buy a Swatch.

  • Ever since I received my Tank Solo, I wear it everyday. I love a classic!

  • I always wear a watch but somehow I always check time on my phone. I think most of my watches don’t even work !

    Sweet dreams

    Watch wearer forever!
My first watch was a gift from my parents when I turned 12, a Russian watch with mechanical jeweled movements. Now it rests in a box in parents’ house.
Second watch was a gift from a boyfriend when I turned 23, a Japanese one with black leather bracelet and silver case. Still functional but rests in a yellow box in my room.
Third watch, the one that I wear now, is a gift from a very dear friend of mine, received when I turned 33. It is a Swiss, Philip Watch, with a rose gold case and a black leather bracelet.
Interesting fact, or not, is that the first two had a square display and the last one a round one:-)
Disclaimer: I am addicted to black leather bracelets.
