Sometimes, I like to borrow my man’s bright colored swim trunks (I love ’em nice and baggy for after the beach)(you wouldn’t have to look very hard to see that EVERYTHING I do is to look like a surfer-girl… except, you know, surfing). But when I saw Jessie in her orange shorts, I thought it was just about time to revisit some of my classics.

Can you wear surf shorts AND ALSO be sexy? Oui.

Wait. But actually, the bestest coolest part about the whole thing isn’t how sexy the shorts are. The cool part is the shorts themselves. Get ready, these shorts are super cult.

They’re all made by hand in California by the Birdwell family and… Actually, I’m not going to tell you the whole story because it’s all right here on their site and it’s so fun and adorable (seriously now, do you see that PS at the end?) that I just couldn’t do any better. Okay, so the website looks older than me and the story is a little long, but it makes the whole thing quite super charming.

AND SEXY, especially if they’re custom made like Jessie’s. So darn classy.

So here’s something for next summer’s list.

I should say that one of these days, I’ll talk to you about the new fall fashions. I swear, cross my heart.

I haven’t found anything that gets me too excited (except for the Gucci hats) but at the same time, all I think about is going to the beach… Have you already started shopping for fall?
