It would be hard to not take inspiration from Aurelie’s world – one of bohemia, Parisian influence, world travels… and loads upon loads of gold jewelry. That’s no surprise of course, to say we are fans of her jewelry on the site would be quite the understatement. Rather we are superfans – of her too! She is one of the nicest women I’ve met in fashion, always kind, and always sophisticated.

Ellsworth’s Mussels

I may not be French, but a bowl of mussels makes me feel a bit more like a Parisian (although I believe the dish originated in Begium). Before I moved to New York, I don’t think I’d even tried mussels – seen them on the beaches in California , yes, eaten them – no.

Its no surprise then I found a few Americans in Paris who created one of my favorite renditions yet at Ellsworth. So fragrant and light, with its mix of white wine, smoked potato, beetroot, garlic and lemon – its a dish perfect for anytime of year, especially desirable with a side of fresh bread.

Malibu Farm’s Paella

Very recently I got my first EVER white bag. I think I always had my Dad’s voice in my head saying, “it’s impractical, it’s not a good investment, it’s going to be a grayish-brown before you know it!” I guess you could say that I had a bad case of whitebagaphobia. And after reading up on this fear online, I realized that I wasn’t the only one!
